On 20 OCT 2010, My Space-A ride to S'Diego (for the reunion) had engine failure & CNX. I decided to drive down (from Whidbey), staying o'nite at various relatives & friends along the way. Got forced off road in No.Calif. My Subaru was totaled, but I did not have a scratch. Spent 24 hrs in ER under observation (mostly, for low IQ). Caught a bus home next day. But missed the 2010 reunion. Hope the next one is a little easier, since my wife is losing patience. But I will also try my best to attend - wherever we have the reunion.

As the Program Officer of Project A-NEW at NATC, perhaps Vice Admiral Waller would remember the first prototype digital computing system for Project A-NEW MOD3, the CP-823/U (Univac 1830) for the P-3 Orion. I'm always interested in stories or documentation and pictures dealing with the equipment and people behind the development of the P-3C, Project A-NEW and the equipment of the airborne ASW systems.
Please view the above website and congratulations and thank you for your service.

Every aspect of the 2010 reunion was superb. Thank you.

Although I checked the mid-California (Monterey) site for the next reunion, I will try my best to attend wherever.

Phyllis and I have attended several reunions in the past and have enjoyed each and every one. Unfortunately, we could not attend the 2010 reunion because I had already committed to my boat school class's 55th reunion held at the same time. While we are getting a little long in the tooth, we look forward to attending future VP reunions - provided I can still drag along my golf clubs and bottle of Beefeaters. Cheers, Mick

Sorry I missed the 2010 reunion. I am currently in Hawaii for several months, was just traveling out here when the reunion was held. If the decision is to hold the next one in Seattle, I offer my services. I hosted a squadron reunion at the Washington Athletic Club, which turned out pretty well. Ask Brent Foster or Mike Merrill about it. One word of caution: downtown hotels are very expensive, but downtown is where you want to hold it because that's where the majority of things to see and do in Seattle are located. We can get group discounts but hotel rooms will be upward of $200/day. At the squadron reunion, we hosted only two events: a dinner cruise aboard ship, and a catered dinner at the WAC, which is where everyone was billeted. Because there is so much to do and see in Seattle, we left all pretty much up to their own devices during the days, did not set up any tours or golf tournaments. Instead, we provided a lot of advance information about what to do and see. The nearest Navy base, NS Everett, is quite a ways away from downtown, NAS Whidbey is a 2+-hour journey to get there, and incorporates a ferry boat ride, the wait for which can be quite lengthy during the summer season. Let me know if you're thinking about Seattle, I'll share some more thoughts on the idea.

I took the survey, but I did not attend. The survey doesn't give you the option on the third question of 'did not attend'. I marked satisfied in order to complete the survey.

I regret that I was not able to attend the 2010 re-union due to some conlicts by personal events.

Every two years to convene the event is good because it offers an opprtunity to plan without being rushed. Unfortunately we are all moving up in age and spreading out the years means missing those who may have illnesses.
